Beginning Throwing

6 - Week Course

In the beginning throwing course students will learn the basics of how to throw on the pottery wheel step-by-step. We will start with the cylinder and move on to cups, bowls and vases. Students will also learn how to turn their thrown objects into finished pieces by learning trimming techniques, how to attach handles and how to apply glaze. Class will meet once a week and all students currently enrolled in a course may use the pottery wheels independently during open store hours. Tools will be provided, and students are responsible for returning tool kits at the end of class. All experience levels are welcome. It can get messy! Wear clothes that can get dirty.

Ages: 16 and up

Cost: $300

Includes tool kit rental and 25 lb bag of clay, additional clay is available for purchase if needed.

Thursday Nights: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
